Privacy Policy

Fyntoo Scan works entirely on your device. Your documents are scanned, recognized, and stored locally. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

Who we are

What data the app handles

Fyntoo Scan is a document scanning tool. The documents you scan and any related information you enter are stored only in a local database on your device. This data:

• never leaves your device unless you choose to share it;
• is not sent to us or to any third party;
• is not used for analytics, advertising, or profiling - the app contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising components;
• is excluded from Android system backups.

On-device text recognition

The app can recognize text in your scanned documents (OCR). Recognition is performed entirely on your device using an on-device machine learning library. Your scans and their contents are not uploaded to any server for processing.

Device permissions

• Camera - used solely to scan documents. Images are captured, processed, and stored locally.
• Photo library - used solely so you can import an existing image as a document. The app does not scan or upload your photo library.

Sharing documents

When you export or share a scanned document (for example, as a PDF), the file is generated on your device and handed to the app you choose through your operating system's standard share function. From that point, the shared file is governed by the privacy policy of the app you selected.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. You can delete individual documents inside the app, or remove all app data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot access, restore, or delete it for you.

Children

Fyntoo Scan is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no data, no personal information from children is processed.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before the change takes effect.
